Back in October, I got a chance to photograph some of my favorite subjects — my brother’s family! Even though they live a mere 90 miles away, due to COVID-19, we haven’t been able to see them for several months. And when one of them is only 8 months old, that’s a LONG time!
So not knowing when we might see them again before Christmas, my sister-in-law asked if I would go ahead and take their photos for their Christmas card and I was happy to oblige. And lucky for all of us, my niece was in a cooperative mood as well! Then, just to make things easier on all of us, we returned to a favorite – and conveniently close – haunt, the Manor House at Kings Charter.
My parents have lived in Kings Charter for almost 30 years now and I return to this location often to take photos. We photographed part of my brother and sister-in-law’s engagement session there, so it was nice to come full circle with them now that they are a family of four. There wasn’t a lot of fall color yet in mid-October, but we made the most we could of one colorful tree in the sunken garden behind the Manor House. Sadly, just one mere month later, it seems most of the autumn color has already fallen to the ground! Fall is probably my favorite season… I only forgive it for being so fleeting because it is followed by the Christmas season!
Are you in need of some family photos this year? I’d love to help you out with that… just send me a message!
